Single family house / Heritage Restoration
Living with the essentials
The building complex consists of a typical example of a masseria, with a linear plan that differs from the traditional form with a central patio.
Through historical analysis, it is identified as a set of three elements, each of them dating back to a different period. The architectural intervention has signaled this historical continuity,
including the restoration and preservation of the old part (trulli), the rationalization of part of the old farmhouse (casale), and a small extension carried out at the beginning of the 20th century.
The masseria and trulli complex have been rehabilitated, incorporating a modern program for a holiday residence with independent rooms and bedrooms for guests. Natural materials and traditional construction solutions are used, integrating into an environment with a wonderful landscape in terms of natural beauty and its ethnological heritage. A landscape worked by man.
